What is menopause

Menopause marks the natural transition when the ovaries gradually stop producing the hormones - oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone. This natural transition can cause a wide range of symptoms as your body adjusts to these hormonal changes.

Symptoms

  • Hot flushes

  • Night sweats

  • Disrupted sleep

  • Mood changes

  • Brain fog

  • Reduced libido

  • Weight changes

  • Changes to skin, hair, or bone health.

We understand, it’s still a sensitive subject, so our female talent will work with you to fully understand your needs and provide the ultimate care.

Why would I need a VSKYN Consult?

While every woman’s experience is different, it’s very common for your symptoms to significantly impact quality of life, energy, and emotional wellbeing.

Beyond daily comfort, hormonal changes can also influence long-term health outcomes — including heart, bone and metabolic health — making professional support and early management especially important.

Common Concerns & Questions

  • Through your one-on-one consultation, we explore your health goals, history, and priorities. We then develop a tailored program that may include medical-grade therapies, skin‑supporting modalities, wellness strategies, and referral pathways when needed.

    We may consider therapies for:

    • Menopause / perimenopause support

    • Intimate health, wellness & rejuvenation

    • Skin changes related to hormonal shifts

Your clinician will guide you through suitable treatment options aligned with your individual profile.

  • Consultations are an important first step in understanding your individual experience and needs. They allow time to discuss your symptoms, concerns, and goals in a supportive, confidential environment.

At SKYN, we’re here to guide you through this stage of life — helping you make sense of your options and connecting you with trusted healthcare professionals who can provide personalised, ongoing support throughout your journey.

  • Your practitioner reviews your medical history, lifestyle, symptoms and goals. You may undergo assessments (bloodwork, scans, skin checks) as needed. Then, together, you’ll map out a personalised plan.

  • Due to regulatory guidelines (TGA), we cannot provide full treatment protocols, guarantees of outcomes, or specific interventional plans before assessing your individual suitability.

  • Those experiencing hormonal fluctuations, menopausal symptoms, postpartum changes, intimate health concerns, or skin issues linked to hormonal imbalance may find value. But suitability is always determined on a case-by-case basis.

  • This treatment pathway is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women

  • In many cases no — but if your health history or investigations point to conditions requiring medical oversight, we will collaborate with your GP, OB/GYN or other specialists.

  • It depends entirely on your diagnosis, goals and treatment plan. Some clients require short‑term follow-up; others may engage in longer-term support over months or years.

  • All treatments come with some risk; side effects depend on the specific modalities used. During your consultation we’ll discuss potential risks, contraindications, and how to maximise safety.

  • Women’s health is dynamic — outcomes evolve over time. Many changes (e.g. menopause, pregnancies) influence your body. Our goal is ongoing support rather than permanent “fixes.”

  • Yes — many skin and aesthetic treatments dovetail with women’s health work. Your clinician will advise on timing and combinations appropriate for your physiology.
